A five day students workshop for classes 1-5 was conducted by Ms Meeta Mohanty. The rationale of the workshop was to hone the language skills of learners who study at Akal Model School. The workshop aimed to reinstate the fact that learners have an innate ability to create and ideate, only they require is facilitation and the right scaffold. Ms Mohanty did several ice-breaking activities with students of Akal Model School and many language games were part of her students workshop. Language chain games, vocabulary games, word webbing, picture reading, reading story books, creating a menu, story making were a few activities that students engaged in and their performance was overwhelming.
