A one day workshop on ways to foster an inquiry based grammar classroom was organized at Cambridge School, Amritsar on December 17, 2019. English teachers of Cambridge school were enlightened with different, innovative ideas to teach grammar in class. The resource person Ms Meeta Mohanty, Co-founder,Funshiksha Classes emphasized on integrating different kinds of poems like-bio poem, diamante poem, acrostic poem with grammar concepts.
The workshop emphasized the importance of contextualizing grammar by use of childhood games. Such an approach is clearly visible in the curriculum and trainings provided by Funshiksha Classes. The tips given were beneficial for teachers as they could implement the ideas in their day to day teaching. It was indeed an interactive session.
